Abstract A new computer geometric modeling approach for 2 × 1 and 3 twill woven fabric structures is proposed. The precise geometrical description presented by taking the skewness property into account. In weaves, fabrics are formed of asymmetric floatings in which length floating sections was not equal on both surfaces therefore equilibrium condition different from symmetric floatings. proposed algorithm has three main parts: first part describes two-dimensional model yarn cross-section structure, second consists a method three-dimensional warp/weft yarn, third contains CAD model. Examples this demonstrated compared with single line path filament assemble that excludes property. simulated study can improve visual simulation real also necessary as an input to many computational models prediction properties fabrics.
